I'm interested in getting information about analog to digital and digital
to analog convertors for the IBM(unged) PC and compatibles.  Specifically
I want to create music with such a device so I'm looking for something that
does ~40K samples/sec with 16bits. I suspect that such or better devices
exist for laboratory applcations exist. Information on slower/lower
resolution devices is also welcome. Fancy signal processing chips are not
essential on the board but might be usefull. I'd like information
on price/performance/where to get such beasties/war stories etc.
