    What kind of information is available from the government on ancestors
    with military records?  I recently received some information on
    some ancestors from a distant cousin. In the information the cousin
    had noted that he thought that so-and-so was the same person that
    was listed on a regimental listing but he hadn't gotten around to
    writing the National Archives for so-and-so's military record. What
    information is available?
