Are lines still eaten?

I'm running Xenix on an XT-compatible and have a Thinkjet printer
(HP).  I need a file to put into /usr/lib/term that can be selected
via the T option in nroff to use this printer properly.  This file is
obtained by compiling a c program containing a list of constants that
gives the necessary information to nroff.  The documentation on this
list of constants makes it appear that re-inventing the wheel will be
a tedious task.  So I hope someone has the source and is willing to
part with it electronically.

In addition, is tex available to run under Xenix?
