on our Ultrix 1.2 uvax with tk50 - I can't find a lock file & the
permission is 666. Tar, dump & restore all say 'cannot open /dev/rmt8'
& the date & time of creation of /dev/rmt8 is that of the failed routine.
I tried rebooting to clear some standard temporary lock I missed but
no-go on that one - any hints? I am a little paranoid about not being
able to do backups.
