Please send all replies directly to his mailing address which follows: I'm struggling with my thesis proposal and am unhappy with the troff character set. (We run 4.2BSD though I doubt that this is relevant.) There are no logical quantifiers or connectives and some of the characters which are provided are truly ugly, e.g. set operators. eqn has a facility whereby you can define your own characters. But before I spend a day (or two, or . . .) defining characters I thought I'd check USENET to see if anyone has done this already.
