The USGS map center is in Denver, not Boulder as someone reported.
It is in the Federal Center, a very large collection of federal offices
and the mint.

This is a marvelous place to visit -- LOTS of maps.
The specific information Mike Lesk gave about digitized maps is probably
better -- the real headquarters for the outfit is back east.
