For $100 they provide a tape of TeX and TeX related tools for VMS systems and a TeXbook. Included in the tape: TeX METAFONT Latex and Bibtex, fonts for these, style macros, etc. tangle and weave programs to manipulate fonts in various formats amstex documentation macros screen previewer LN03 driver METAFONT sources for Computer Modern fonts. fonts for Canon LBP-10 print engine (240 dpi printers) Canon LBP-CX fonts (300 dpi black writing printers) Xerox XP-24 fonts (300 dpi white writing printers) There are other things that I don't remember that are also included on this tape. All of the programs come with sources and documentation. Send check, money order, or purchase order (no cash or stamps, please) to: Kellerman and Smith 534 SW Third Avenue Portland, Oregon 97204 Sorry to sound so much like a commercial, but I received a lot of inquiries from my posting. You can also get this stuff from Maria Code, but Kellerman and Smith's distribution is easier to use and install. I rebuilt the fonts for the LN03 starting with the METAFONT descriptions, just to see what was involved. Generating the complete fonts (up to magstep6) took over 3 days of CPU time on a VAX-11/785. ---------------- Marty Sasaki uucp: harvard!sasaki Harvard University Science Center arpa: sasaki@harvard.harvard.edu One Oxford Street bitnet: sasaki@harvunxh Cambridge, MA 02138 phone: 617-495-1270
