No one responded to my earlier posting regarding my problems with changing
UAF entries, 1) I can't use the system call to change my own UAF entry and
2) I don't see how to set a password (from a program) (aka how does one
encrypt the password).

I'm resolved that the first problem is a bug. Can someone tell me about the
second though? Is it really a feature that there is no access to the routines
to encrypt paswords? In which case, how does AUTHORIZE or SET PASSWORD do it?
