Golub and was received on Sun Aug 24 14:11:02 1986 FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT HISTORY OF SCIENTIFIC AND NUMERIC COMPUTATION A meeting on the History of Scientific and Numeric Computation will take place in Princeton, New Jersey at the RCA David Sarnoff Research Center, May 13-15 1987. The list of speakers are as follows: I. Babushka M. Juncosa F. L. Bauer N. Metropolis G. D. Birkhoff T. Oden G. B. Dantzig D. Peaceman L. Fox J. Rosser C. W. Gear/R. Skeel J. Todd H. Goldstine D. Wheeler M. Gutknecht/P. Henrici J. Wilkinson M. Hestenes D. Young. H. Keller Herman Goldstine has agreed to be the keynote speaker and Herb Keller will give the after dinner speech. A number of speakers who were involved with some of the early journals, educational organizations and scientific meetings will also give brief presentations. This meeting is being sponsored by the ACM in cooperation with ACM-SIGNUM, SIAM and the IEEE Computer Society/ACM Princeton Chapter.
