It is expected to pass committee within a week, and could pass the Senate floor anytime thereafter. Most people automatically consider "privacy protection" to be a good thing. Indeed, the vote in the House was unanimous. Only technologically aware people readily see the deficiencies. Fellow TELECOM readers who feel strongly about the issue are urged to WRITE and TELEPHONE their senators (and Senators Mathias, Moynihan, and Gore) to help them understand the scientific reality.
