The CRT terminal, Multibus backplane, power supplies, etc. are mounted in a desktop enclosure. The MMI memory board is socketed for easy repair/upgrade. The board currently is populated with 512 kbytes of 64k chips. This can be expanded to 1 Mbyte by plugging in more chips. The board can accept 256k chips (via a field upgrade) to increase the capacity of the board to 4 Mbytes. Recent engineering change orders (ECO's) have been made to the hardware. Release 5.1 of Wicat's MCS real-time multiuser, multitasking operating system and "C" compiler are on the system. (Unix is also available for this machine.) Nice machine.
