I suggest getting a copy of Keith Bostic and Co.'s version of 2.9BSD (seismo 2.9BSD). It has a very good (complete) version of TCP/IP. I had two 2.9BSD/CSS systems networked and talking very nicely with 4.[23] systems. Keith and Co. have done a great job with 2.9BSD!!! Porting 4.2 networking programs to 2.9BSD/CSS is very easy. contact Keith Bostic seismo!keith to get the distribution. (I believe you have to send a copy of your license). Hope this helps.
