I didn't know that State Farm would insure bikes. A lot of auto insurers will not - for example, my auto carrier is Prudential and they don't cover bikes. Which company is best for you depends on your bike. I insure with Progressive under their "big bike" plan (I have a BMW R100CS). It turns out that BMWs are in a better risk category than almost anything else - got me why, they sure are pricey. Anyhow, I can insure for considerably less than if I had a much smaller, non-BMW. ....Larry mazlack@ernie.berkeley.edu
