Message-ID: <16@asi.UUCP> Date: Wed, 10-Sep-86 23:24:29 EDT Article-I.D.: asi.16 Posted: Wed Sep 10 23:24:29 1986 Date-Received: Thu, 11-Sep-86 06:03:46 EDT Distribution: na Organization: Assessment Systems, Inc., Philadelphia, PA Lines: 14 Keywords: C_ISAM, close Xref: mnetor net.unix-wizards:7848 net.database:400 net.bugs:339 I am having a problem with C-ISAM on my 3B2. I keep getting "too many open files" errors when opening normal (open(),fopen()) files. I always close my C-ISAM files when they are not necessary. I have noticed that C-ISAM opens do not have this problem. I am thinking that when I issue an isclose(), C-ISAM does not really close the file. Does anyone know if this is the case. Is there any way to force a REAL close on the file? Please respond if you are familiar with this problem. I am stopped dead with this problem. Thanks. Metro T. Sauper, Jr. ihnp4!ll1!bpa!asi!metro
