Lines: 25 I need help from the net. I will be a college senior (see? I can even spell "college" now :-) this year, and I am thinking of going to graduate school. I would appreciate help from 'youse guys' on the following topics: 1) What are the good/great schools for computer graphics? I am particularly interested in computer graphics for architecture-- buildings, not computer architecture. I would appreciate pointers to articles, pamphlets (hype from colleges :-), personal opinions, and whatever else you can drum up. 2) Is it better to get a job right out of college, or go on to a Masters degree? I know this question is vague. I'm weighing "get a Masters degree and be a 'specialist' in the field" vs. "get real world experience, earn mucho bucks (ha, ha), and maybe have Corporation X pay for a M.S. degree." 3) How wise is it to go into computer graphics now that the new graphics chips make it easy enough for a chimpanzee to do graphics programming? Or am I misinformed on the power of these chips? Please, PLEASE, *PLEASE* send your responses according to the following hierarchy (as I will be off of the net as of 9-20-86): 1) "Land mail:" Kim Alan Scott / 460 Churchdale Ave. / Salem, OR 97303 2) "e-mail:" kims@teklds.UUCP (or some such thing. I'm new on the net, and still haven't figured out the e-mail system). 3) Posting to the net. Thanks in advance! -- Kim Alan Scott (Tektronix, Inc., Beaverton, OR; soon to be at that alternate reality know as......college)
