Henry also pointed out to me (in a private message - thanks, Henry) that MCC is a valid nickname in the latest HOSTS-table from NIC. I checked the one on the site I mainly live on (R20.UTEXAS.EDU, a DEC-20), and, lo-and-behold, MCC is back in the table. (I swear, it was not there, when the problem first popped up). I'm trying to investigate .... I wonder what other sites have changed, or are changing, and where such things get announced (somewhere, that you may expect to come to the attention of the general user population) ---Werner
