uumail only requires a  subset of a pathalias database to work. 
Only the paths to gateway hosts are needed. This may involve
10 or so lines of database.

As a side note, I am getting another release of uumail ready. If you'd
like to beta-test, send me a note and I will get back to you.
This one features the resolve code from smail plus return mail
and fixes since the last release.
