A user on NET.ATARI16 reported a problem with uploading files using the
AVATEX 1200 modem.  I seem to be having an almost identical problem.

The modem works just fine for most interactive work.  I get some
line hits on noisy lines, but I also do with other modems.  I am quite
please with it *EXCEPT*....  I can not get decent file UPLOADS using
either KERMIT or MODEM7.  Other modems work fine.  I get repeated 
timeout-retries, which almost always work on the second or third
retry.  Unfortunately, this means a 10 minute upload can take half
an hour!   

This makes two of us.  Anyone else?  Anyone contacted Avatex about
the problem?
