I'm using an Everex 1200 baud internal modem set up as com2 on a Telex 1280
( AT clone ), and am trying to use Kermit ( v2.29 ) as my communications
package by setting macros to do the dialing. However, when I try to enter the
modems command mode by "connect" from Kermit, I hit a blank wall. I can't get
any communication from kermit to my modem. I have checked all the settings on
Kermit, and have even tried switching the com ports on the modem. I have
tried different communications packages, Pibterm,  Procomm, QModem, PC-VT,
and they all work perfectly fine. As a counter check, I have used my Kermit
with different modems ( Racal Vadic - Multi Tech ), and again everything is
fine. Kermit performs beautifully!! So my problem has to be with Kermit
and my modem having a personality conflict right??? Has anybody else encountered
this, or know what the fix is???? I'd really appreciate any help available
cause this thing is driving me NUTZ!! As a quickie after-thought, has anyone
set up dialing macros in Kermit for a Racal Vadic?? Thanks guys, you can send
