Fixobj produces 1 byte length files when anything you are working with is in ram: Try it on your disk only. You might want to use a plain vanilla null modem cable instead of whatever you are using now (what's digital link?) I just plain download everything to my Amiga. I don't know anything about the Mac file system so maybe you should look into that. There might be some inconsistencies between the filesystems (like icons especially!) If you are using just a cable, you might not need a fancy protocol for sources so you can just type the text.
