        We got some troubles tooin using uudecode.
        As reason we found an error in our local
        EBCDIC --> ASCII Translation - Table.
        So i propose those people, who have toubles too,
        try to look in the uuencode files if there are
        all possible chars ( i think between blank and
        uppercase Z) are represented. At our site the
        ^ (circumflex) got to a ? questionmark. In this
        situation we found that at a DIGITAL VAX there are
        two Translation Tables to choose by generating.
        ( So we have there two modifications belonging to
        the brackets [] . Which not worked with the defaults)
