[] All the great discounts seem to be for 520ST+monochr+SSdisk. Anybody knows about a cheap source for the basic 1040ST package (it is $850 right here at the local dealer - when he can get any...), or for the 520ST with a double sided drive INSTEAD of the SS, or for DS add-ons? (I personally cannot stand the thought of being limited to half the disk capacity. I waited long to get my 1040!) Generic (i.e. not specifically for the ST) double-sided 3.5" drives are now available for about $100 some places. Can anybody tell us how to connect them to the ST? Is it just a matter of finding the $%#@& connector, and the pinout on the back of the drive? (And getting a power-supply for the drive - or can we run it off the 1040ST assuming we don't turn more than one drive at a time?) Or is there more to this black art? Is the $200 to $300 otherwise charged reasonable? (If the cable is $30 and the PS/box is $30 then $250 for the finished thing may be OK...) - Moshe Braner
