They also (surprisingly) have excellent noise immunity - better than the other modems I've tried, including the Anchor Automation Express, Multitech 1200, and Prentice Popcom X-100. At our location about a mile from a 5KW AM broadcast station, we can hear the radio on the phone, but I got no noise at all with the Avatex's. The others all showed sporadic {'s. - Michel
