The machine is supplied with a serial port, so an external terminal can be used in addition to the system console. The Hardware Reference Manual and Integrated Software Development Guide have the necessary information for developing a serial card and UNIX driver. Four and eight-port cards and a driver are available from CTC Systems, Inc, 10311 S. DeAnza Blvd, Cupertino, CA (408)725-0501. Of course, performance depends on the system load. More expensive systems can handle more users; however, the PLUS should be satisfactory for many applications with two, three, or more users.
