I would like to substitute here if > possible. You may alaready know this, but it took me a long time to discover that you don't have to go through two windows to dial a number in your directory. After you hit shift F2 (call), just start typing enough characters of a name to make in unambiguous and hit return. If the name is in your directory, it will be dialed, even if it does not appear in the call screen.
