HELP!!!

I have a C128 running Osborne Word Star.  Everything seems to work OK except
that when I print (Commodore 1526 printer) it is extremely slow printing.
In fact it prints a line, then thinks, then prints, ad nauseum...
Does anyone have a solution?  I looked at the printer parameters but couldn't
find where I can stipulate buffer size.  By the way what is the print buffer
size for that printer?   Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Also don't
flame me for owning the 1526 printer the price was right.  Please send a 
carbon-copy to me directly at pierson@BRL..ARPA.
