Here is a very brief rundown of some of P2DOS's features. o Written in Z80 rather than in 8080. Makes it smaller and presumably faster. o Supports an RTC through an extra BDOS call. Also supports date & time stamping, with the correct routines in your BIOS ( which the docs do *not* elaborate on ). o Supports Public files through one of the unused attribute bits ( #2, I think ). Any file set to a SYStem file, and with this atttribute set, can be accessed from any user area. o Supports a path-search feature akin to ZCPR3's, except at the BDOS level, rather than that of the CCP. Only SYStem files can be found in this way. o Expanded error messages. You are now told what the error is ( normal BDOS message ), what BDOS function caused the error, and the file involved, if any. I have had the combination of P2DOS and ZCPR3 running on my Ampro for over a month now, and have noticed no bugs. On the other hand, I'm not using all the features listed above.
