Greetings MAC/Synthesizer Users, Devotees, and Aficionados!

I am shopping around for a MIDI software/hardware combination
to connect my MAC+ to my synth (MIDI interface, sequencing
software, ...the works).  The feature that tops my list is
software that allows the use of standard notation.  Software
that takes advantage of additional memory would be desirable.

Any and all recommendations/suggestions/advice/prices would
be greatly appreciated.
