    There is a new book available which provides a different and useful 
perspective on programming for the Macintosh.  It is entitled "How to 
Program the Macintosh" by Knaster and provides substantial information on 
Macintosh memory management as well as numerous hints and explanations of
things which are not very well explained in Inside Macintosh.  Anyone starting
to write applications for the Macintosh should find this book quite useful.
