I've spoken with salespeople in so-called software stores in the Cambridge/Boston area who look at me like I'm a loon when I ask them if they carry development software for the Mac. You would think that with all of the software companies in the area there would be a high level of familiarity with products, how they work where they can be purchased, etc. If you have some favorite place where you go to get this kind of support and it's within a 1-hour drive of Boston, please let me know.
