I have already read the section on journaling in the latest version of inside Mac, but it does not explain how the playback mode works clearly enough. When in record mode the event records are passed to the journaling driver for storage...that's simple enough. In playback mode the event manager calls the journaling driver which is supposed to return the event record. My question is this...do you have to do any preprocessing of the event record before you hand it back to the event manager? The time each event occured is stored in the event record...do you have to edit that time value so it reflects the current time of day or does the event manager handle that for you? If anybody has source code of a journaling driver they could send me it would be very helpful...the information on journaling is very thin, I haven't been able to find information about it anywhere besides Inside Mac. Thanks in advance for the help Greg Corson pur-ee!iuvax!kangaro!milo
