It was designed to make it possible to dump ANY files contents in HEX along with the printable ASCII values ala your standard hex dump mainframe utility. What I noticed was that when you specify that ANY file can be opened and then try to read in an application it immediately detects and EOF condition. Why? Is there something about the structure of applications (i.e. resource/data forks) that explains these circumstances?
