When you DIVerify() a volume and it reports bad blocks, how can you tell which blocks are the guilty parties? You can't! Certain utilities, such as ScanDisk, seem to be able to determine this. I tried to answer this question by disassembling ScanDisk, but the result was unenlightening. Where can I get documentation on the inner workings of the disk driver? --Gordon Hamachi decwrl!turtlevax!hamachi
