Please note, that Megamax Software licensed the right to distribute this editor with their C-compiler now, which makes it a near unbeatable deal. The editor is also available in a demo-version including all features but limited to small files only (size <6K chars). ARPAnauts can retrieve it from the SUMEX-files or from NGP's FTP-directory ~ftp/public/FE-2.6. If I receive enough requests, I may post it to mod.sources.mac or to net.sources.mac (depending if the moderator or mod.sources.mac is willing to distribute them). ---Werner ] Following is a listing of changes from FstEddie2.5 to FastEddie2.6: % "changE spacing" in display menu changes lineheight (E decreases spacing, E increases it), "save oPtions" makes the last change the default % standard clipboard now implemented % stacked windows are now bigger (and more convienent) % window title is now full path name % All open files are now passed to any "transfer" program % mmc auto error display with megamax C upgraded to HFS % implicit transfer names (items > 12 in the file menu) are disabled if they cannot be opened (thus preventing any attempted open of a non existant file) % changing fonts now tries to maintain size (previous default was smallest size) % Lineheight set to multiple of font (for better spacing) % Auto indent copies both TABS and blanks (previously it inserted blanks only) % inserting blank before TAB moves TAB to next stop % bug exterminated .. attempted synchronized scroll bombed when there was only one window open
