Chicago - Computation Center Lines: 20 I have an original IBM AT. The hard drive just bit the dust. (Its former owner booted off the A: drive and used it as a dumb, but powerful, TTY; I've only been using the hard disk for a few months.) Here's the question: can I take out the 10 megabyte hard drive out of an IBM XT and install it in the AT until I get a replacement drive? If I can, are there any special precautions/caveats I need to know about? Can I keep the AT's controller card? (I have both an A: and B: drive.) As an aside, I had Diskwatch installed when the crash occurred. The error: No address mark. (After Diskwatch's message DOS gave the General Failure Reading Drive C: message.) I'd appreciate any information I can get. -- Charles Blair ..!ihnp4!gargoyle!sphinx!cjdb The University of Chicago lib.cb%chip@UChicago.Bitnet
