I would consider anything in the 80mb-and-up range, and am naturally interested in getting the best value possible. Important considerations are access time (under 40 ms), partition restrictions, and any sideaffects I should expect from the custom software that overcomes the limitation of the PCDOS 16 bit sector counter. I have reasonably good 30mb internal drives already installed in these AT's (Seagate and Core), but would be willing to replace them or supplement them with an internal or external drive. Does anyone have very good experiences with a particular product? I'd greatly appreciate information on cost, availability, the completeness of the package (does it come with the necessary software, the required controller, etc?), and your experience with the drive. Please mail replies. If there's enough interest I will post a summary. Thanks.
