(I'm a diabetic, so I can't have regular soft drinks.) When diet Coke first came out, it was absolutely the best diet cola -- positively addictive, and worlds above the competition. Not too sweet, not too cloying. If I remember correctly, when they switched to NutraSweet the taste changed marginally for the better. Then New Coke came along...and diet Coke changed as well. It acquired rather a sour, unpleasant taste...and *nobody* *said* *a* *word* *about* *it*. I'm not imagining things...
