Our mailer tries to deliver uucp mail for 7 days and if unsuccessful it tries to return the mail to the sender. If it has a valid return address, everything works fine; otherwise, the mail disappears without a trace. Emory has been down for two weeks due to physical plant modifications. The site admin there didn't let us know of this downtime, and so I didn't know to disable the "returner" program for their site. Any mail sent along the path ...!gatech!emory!... over the past 20 days should be considered as failed and attempted again. -- Gene Spafford Software Engineering Research Center (SERC), Georgia Tech, Atlanta GA 30332 CSNet: Spaf @ GATech ARPA: Spaf@Gatech.GATECH.EDU uucp: ...!{akgua,decvax,hplabs,ihnp4,linus,seismo,ulysses}!gatech!spaf
