I have been using the Interphase supplied device driver with no hacking on my part. The best performance I have seen to date is about 0.75Mb/S for 10Mb reads from the raw disk. The hardware should be able to do close to 2 Mb/S... anyone out there know why it's so slow? Interphase claims that they are looking into it (they don't know why). Has anyone seen better performance than this from a disk? Any better disk controllers on a Sun-3? I'm only considering VME boards, no multibus adapters. Please reply via mail & I'll summarize for the net. Gary Newman @ Eikonix (617) 275-5070 {adelie, encore}!munsell!ghn
