  Does anybody have a good source for technical information about how the
various railroads operate?   I live near the Southern Pacific line going
through Alpine and Marfa, Texas (between El Paso and San Antonio) and would
like to have some reference for the signals, communications, operations, etc.

Any books ?   Articles?   Magazines ?
