I would be grateful to anyone who can point me to good books, papers
or articles about the data structures and algorithms which go into
a what-you-see-is-what-you-get word processor.  Even a reference which
helps with part of the problem, like screen management, would help 
quite a bit.  

Please send me mail.  If there are responses I'll post a summary.
