(newfs; mount; cd ; restore r) After 50-100 feet into the 2400' reel, restore rewinds the tape and asks for the 2nd volume (this is a two tape level 0 dump). Mystified, I put up the 2nd volume. Moments later it starts spraying the console with "./ not found on tape" (or the equivalent). Has anyone ever seen this? I tried a different tape drive (with rrestore) and got the same result. Is this a bug? Could it be a tape error? I tried (mt rew; mt fsf) and the only file on the tape takes up at least 90% of the tape, so it's not an EOF. HELP! (gosh, I wish I had source!)
