Can someone shed some light on the protocol that uucp uses in
the transfer of data? Ie the scheme, packeting etc that goes
on during the actual transfer. I have a project that requires
sending data to/from non-*NIX machines via uucp if possible. 

I know there is (so I've heard), a commercial program available,
but we would rather do the coding ourselves. We are using Ver 7
uucp and DO NOT have uucp source (nor any other OS source)
available to us.
