Ed Asner, speaking in Milwaukee on the  7th  anniversary  of  the
Sandinista  takeover,  explained that La Prensa was shut down not
because "it criticised the government but because it printed lies
about  potential  shortages  and alleged social difficulties that
sapped the people's morale."
