I am working on my M.S. thesis which deals with the use of Expert Systems
in the area of Data Communications (e.g. help diagnose sources of
communication problems, help to "configure" components [DTE's and DCE's] 
correctly, etc).  I am curious to find out what knowledge based systems
(if any) exist that deal with this problem domain.  I would very much 
appreciate any pointers to literature or persons doing work in this area.
