Recently gih900@fac0.oz offered a news/bb system for VMS written in C
that could interface with usenet B news and VMS mail.
I tryed mailing to him through several addresses and couldn't get through.

This seems like it would be a very popular package
but the author only offered it by tape from Australia.

If the author (or anyone who got it by tape) could get me
a saveset over bitnet (in jnet vmsdump format), I could handle
distribution over bitnet to North American sites at night.
(which is faster and cheaper for many sites than tape).
