As part of a project of the Commercial Working Group of the DECUS VAX SIG,
a White Paper on Tape Allocation and the Mount System Under VMS is in the
final stages of development.  The text of the draft white paper are
available via anonymous ftp from sally.utexas.edu.  The file is

 ~ftp/pub/vmsmount

Comments, additions and corrections to this draft are solicited.  I will
be happy to mail the document to anyone unable to perform an anonymous ftp.
