We have TeX + the LN03 at RHBNC, and are very satisfied with the results.
The DVI to LN03 progam which we are currently using is the Flavial Rose
(DEC) V.10 version, which supports LANDSCAPE format as well as PORTRAIT.
The RAM cartridges are essential.  The fonts are automatically down-loaded
by the software.
