You might auto-forward all the mail to one of the 2 accounts by
   MAIL> SET FORWARD otheraccount 
and read the mail by using that account only.

or:

You enter the command 
   MAIL> SET MAIL_DIRECTORY [.account1]
for account1 and 
   MAIL> SET MAIL_DIRECTORY [.account2]
for the other account.
After having done this the accounts nolonger share the mailbox!
