We plan on supporting a maximum of 3 users per workstation (1 graphics display and 2 rs-232 ports), and other requirements include Berkeley 4.2 (or equivalent), a megabyte of of physical memory per user, approximately 0.5 MIP per user (no flames on the merits of MIP ratings please), and a distributed file system. Although we have already received numerous vendor proposals, we are interested to learn if any other universities have a similar classroom configuration. Of course, any other comments or suggestions are welcome. -- D.L.
